What is ICON white spot therapy?

ICON is a product used for diminishing white spots that appear in teeth. Typically white spot are isolated bright white areas that stand out on the tooth. White spots can be caused by many factors including fluorosis, trauma and even early tooth decay.

ICON is a resin based treatment that works by penetrating into the whiter areas of the teeth and infuses this region with a resin. This helps to give the tooth are more uniform appearance reducing the patches. Often this is combined with tooth whitening for best results.

What is Tooth Whitening ?

Ever tried over the counter whitening toothpaste or those whitening strips? Don’t waste your money!

These product do not contain the correct strength of whitening agent to work effectively. In the UK, only dentist’s can prescribe bleaching solutions with the stronger percentage of whitening agent.

Professional tooth whitening uses a scientifically proved, safe to use, peroxide based gel tested for oral use. Typically, custom whitening trays are made, whitening gel is placed within the trays and worn at night, for 14 nights. Results are visible within the first 2 weeks.
