Porcelain Veneers
Zoe came to me as her previous veneers had broken. She wanted a brighter, straighter smile but did not want braces or Invisalign.
Veneers can be used to correct minor tooth misalignments and help create a straighter smile without the need for teeth straightening. In Zoe’s case we replaced the two central broken 360 veneers and placed two non-preparation veneers on her upper laterals to align her smile. The canine teeth were worn down and had white spot lesions so we treated these with ICON white spot removal and composite bonding.
Zoe had replacement porcelain veneers to fix her broken current teeth and two new veneer to bring her teeth into a straighter position, without the need for braces or invisalign.
Treatment Process
-
Zoe had a full dental examination, x-rays, gum health check, shade analysis and smile assessment. We decided four veneers and two teeth composite bonding with ICON white spot therapy was the plan. She did not want braces or invisalign
-
We first did a ‘trial smile’ mock up to show Zoe how her new smile will suit her. Once we were happy we removed the old veneers and prepared the teeth to have the new veneers. Zoe was given a set of temporary veneers after this visit. These temporary teeth are shaped like the final smile.

After two weeks, once the talented dental ceramists had hand crafted the new teeth, the final visit was to fit these new veneers to give Zoe her new smile. The temporary teeth are removed, teeth are cleaned and the new teeth are tried in. Once Zoe was happy we glued these in permanently.
